Journal Prompts: Joli
Effective date: 2026-11-01
Everything you write stays on your phone. The app has no accounts, no journal server, and no way to read your entries. The only information that ever leaves your device relates to your subscription and, if you installed the app from an App Store ad, which ad that was.
The app is provided by Iuliia Zueva, trading as RocketApps (the "Service Provider"), who is the data controller for the limited processing described below.

The following is stored only in the app's local storage on your iPhone. It is never transmitted anywhere, and the Service Provider cannot see it, retrieve it, or recover it:
The prompts and quotes themselves are bundled inside the app when you download it. Choosing which prompt to show you happens entirely on your device, with no network request, and works with the app offline.
Only information about payment and, in one case, about how you found the app.
Purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store. The Service Provider never sees your payment details. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
The app uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and confirm whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives:
Nothing you write is included. No entry text, no draft, no later mood check-in, and no part of your journal is ever sent to RevenueCat or anywhere else. RevenueCat's handling of the above is governed by the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Beyond Apple's payment services and RevenueCat, the app makes no network requests at all.
Reminders, if you turn them on, are local notifications scheduled by your iPhone. The times are stored on your device and are not transmitted.
Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, the Service Provider relies on:
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time using the contact details above.
Information stored on your device stays there until you delete it or delete the app. The Service Provider has no copy and no control over it.
Subscription records and the labels and attribution data held by RevenueCat are retained for as long as the associated anonymous identifier remains active, and are deleted on request as described below.
Everything you wrote. Settings inside the app contains "Delete all my data", which erases all local content immediately. Deleting the app from your iPhone also deletes everything it stored. In both cases the deletion is permanent. Because there is no backup on any server, reinstalling the app cannot recover it, and the Service Provider cannot restore it for you.
Subscription records. To request deletion of the subscription record and the labels and attribution data held by RevenueCat, contact hello@rocketapps.dev. Because the identifier is anonymous, you may be asked for information that allows the correct record to be located. Records required to be kept for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons may be retained for as long as the law requires.
Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are cancelled through your Apple ID subscription settings.
RevenueCat and Apple process data on servers that may be located outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or the UK, those transfers are covered by the safeguards each provider maintains, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or an applicable adequacy decision. Details are in each provider's privacy policy, linked above.
You have the right to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Requests can be made at hello@rocketapps.dev and are answered within the period required by law.
In practice most of this is already in your hands: the information the app holds about you is on your own device, and you can read, change, or erase all of it inside the app at any time.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, either in the country where you live or where the Service Provider is established.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, the right to request its deletion, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
The Service Provider does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is therefore no opt-out to exercise. To make any other request, contact hello@rocketapps.dev.
The app is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16, or such higher age as local law requires. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact hello@rocketapps.dev so it can be removed.
Content you write is protected by your iPhone's own storage protections, including the device passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS file encryption. Because that content never leaves your device, it is not exposed to server breaches, interception in transit, or unauthorized access by the Service Provider.
Subscription information is protected in transit and at rest by Apple and RevenueCat under their own security programs.
If a breach occurs that affects personal data held by the Service Provider or its providers, you will be notified in accordance with applicable law, including the nature of the breach and the steps taken in response. Note that a breach of this kind could not expose your journal content, because no copy of it exists outside your device.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and where the law requires it, your consent will be sought before they take effect. Previous versions are available on request at hello@rocketapps.dev.
